Happy Birthday Dave Winer! And Thanks!
I follow a number of blogs on a variety of different topics, one of which is Dave Winer’s Scripting News. Dave is one of the founding fathers of blogging and, as I learned fairly recently, RSS. Tomorrow is his 50th birthday, and he has one request:
If you want to wish me a happy birthday, first, let me say, thank you, mazel tov, a blessing back at ya, namaste and let’s have fun. I have one request, which I get to make because it’ll be my birthday tomorrow, and I’m getting in practice for one day of pure selfishness. Instead of sending an email, if you have a blog, how about posting your wishes on your blog with a link to mine? I could always use some more flow, and I’d love to climb a few notches on the Technorati list, truth be told.![]()
Seeing as how blogs have become such a significant part of how I get and share information, and seeing as how I can manage that information so much more efficiently through RSS, this is the least I can do. Besides, Dave is an entertaining, informative guy. If you’re getting into podcasts and are looking for something that’s sometimes techie, sometimes silly, sometimes musical, and always interesting, wander over to his Morning Coffee Notes. I subscribed a couple of weeks ago, and I’m glad I did!
So happy birthday, Dave! I hope you reach the very top of the Technorati list. And thanks. Oh, one more thing: My birthday is in November. Will the Scoble Phones be in production in time?
