The Captcha Isssue on the Blogs of Librarians!

Good evening, morning, or afternoon to you!!! Why am I so chipper, you ask? Because the Google captcha issue is now being discussed on the blogs of librarians, in particular Baby Boomer Librarian and LibrarianInBlack. I am thrilled to see librarians join us in advocating for information and services that are accessible to all users!

I wholeheartedly agree with Bill Drew:

This is an important issue that we all need to do something about. If each of us contacts Google, I am sure they will respond.

On another note, my apologies for not getting Yahoo Week Day 3’s entry up in time; I will get it written some time tomorrow. The topic: Yahoo Health (including accessible prescription drug information). Stay tuned!

Very glad to see the positive coverage of the CAPTCHA accessibility issue. Sadly, there’s some coverage that is only luke warm over on yesterday’s Radio Godaddy show. Check out his blog at http://www.bobparsons.com for a link to that show. I posted a comment to that post which awaits “moderator approval” so I doubt it will see the light of day. I’ll be pleasantly surprised if it does anyhow.
